Independent, SEBI-registered advice for Mumbai families who want their investments, succession plans, taxes and reporting managed by one accountable team.
SEBI Registered Investment Adviser: INA100016390 | Mumbai office: Parel | Offices in Mumbai, Gurgaon and Dubai (DIFC)
Alpha Capital is a multi family office in Mumbai that works with a limited number of families to manage their financial lives as a whole. We advise on investments, coordinate estate and succession planning, handle tax planning with your chartered accountants, and deliver one consolidated view of everything the family owns. Our Mumbai team works from Parel and is supported by our offices in Gurgaon and Dubai.
What a Multi Family Office Does for Mumbai Families
Many Mumbai families hold wealth in several places at once: listed shares, a stake in the family business, residential and commercial property, fixed income, unlisted investments and, increasingly, assets overseas. Each of these usually comes with its own banker, broker, CA or lawyer, and nobody is responsible for the full picture.
A multi family office sits above these relationships. It sets the family's investment policy, tracks every holding in one report, coordinates advisors, and plans for how wealth will pass to the next generation.
Because several families share the cost of the team, you get senior expertise without building and staffing a private office of your own.

Wealth Planning Issues Specific to Mumbai Families.
Wills and probate after the 2025 amendment
For decades, wills made by Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs, Jains and Parsis in Mumbai, or dealing with immovable property in the city, generally needed probate before an executor or beneficiary could enforce rights in court. The Repealing and Amending Act, 2025 omitted Section 213 of the Indian Succession Act, 1925, which removed that requirement. Families with existing wills should review them with legal counsel, since the change affects how estates in Mumbai are administered.
[LEGAL TEAM TO VERIFY WORDING BEFORE PUBLISHING]Property-heavy balance sheets
For many Mumbai families, real estate makes up a large share of net worth. That creates liquidity gaps at exactly the wrong time, for example when an estate has to be divided among heirs. We plan allocation and succession with property treated as part of the whole portfolio, not a separate silo.
Separating family wealth from the family business
Business owners often keep personal savings, guarantees and investments closely tied to the company. We help structure holdings so that a setback in the business does not put the family's personal security at risk.
NRI members and overseas investments
Families with members in Dubai, London or Singapore face questions on residency status, repatriation and cross-border taxation. Resident Indians investing abroad do so under RBI's Liberalised Remittance Scheme, currently USD 250,000 per financial year per individual. Our Dubai office in DIFC supports families with interests in both markets.
[VERIFY CURRENT LIMIT BEFORE PUBLISHING]Family governance across generations
As families grow, disagreements about control and distribution become more likely. A written family constitution, clear trust deeds and regular family meetings reduce that risk. We help families put these in place early.
Single Family Office vs Multi Family Office.
| Single family office | Multi family office | |
|---|---|---|
| Serves | One family | Several families |
| Team | Hired and managed by the family | Provided by the firm |
| Cost | Full cost carried by one family | Cost shared across families |
| Setup time | Months, including hiring and systems | Can begin within weeks |
| Suited to | Very large, complex fortunes that justify a dedicated team | Families who want institutional expertise without running an office |
Some families start with a multi family office and later set up their own. We also help families that are planning a single family office with structure, hiring and investment policy. See our family office services.
